“Rain, a natural technopath, hiding her existence in a harsh dystopian future. She knows what she is capable of and what would befall her should anyone of the Corps sink their hooks into her. No matter how far she runs or how hard she tries to stay hidden, trouble always seems to find her. Tired of running, Rain now takes the fight to all who try to control her.”
Rain is a character that has been very near and dear to my heart for a long time. Constantly evolving and growing as I keep learning and drawing. Rain is the protagonist to a Cyberpunk Noir comic that I have been working off and on of for the past several years. It’s been interesting to try to capture the feeling of Cyberpunk in a more selective color style. Normally, the Cyberpunk genre is a flood of vibrant colors which threaten to overload the senses. I wanted to explore the concept of this flood becoming mute after a time. Using color only to highlight key details, helping draw in the reader’s eye.
