A nomadic soldier from a time now passed; when the world was more than dust and ruin. He is now one of the few remaining remnants of the war that brought the world to its knees with the use of apocalyptic weapons. Noah now finds himself little more than a wanderer focused on one thing… Survival.”

The Post-apocalyptic genre has always been an interesting subject to me. Seeing other artists’ interpretation of how a world has ended; yet more importantly, how that world picks itself back up with nothing more than the scraps left behind. The original idea for Noah came from a commission for illustrations for a TTRPG book set in a post-apocalyptic landscape. Yet the more I worked on him, the more I wanted to make his character something… more. I loved the idea of a soldier stuck in the past in a world now gone; grappling with the fact the war he fought all his life is now over and there is nothing to go back to. In the first few iterations, he was drawn in a much more realistic style. Although, this made him feel just like any other post-apocalyptic protagonist. I knew something more could be done, as I had seen it done before in other projects. So I decided to try out a different style that was highly simplistic yet expressive. Creating a stark contrast to what one would expect when looking at a post-apocalyptic setting.
